Qualifications:
Required:
1. Knowledge of high-level programming language and assembly language.
2. Ability to communicate effectively, both in oral and written form.
3. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customer, vendors, and fellow employees.
Desirable:
1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
2. Minimum two years software development experience.
3. Experience in software development in a manufacturing and support environment.
4. Experience with real time, embedded systems and motion control systems.
5. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
Job Description:
1. Designs, develops and tests software; creates software documentation.
2. Uses professional concepts in the development of software; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a wide range of issues.
3. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors; exercises good judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action; has internal and some external contacts.
4. Normally receives general instruction on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
5. Adheres to health, fire and safety regulations; identifies potential safety hazards and reports such to the
Vice President of Human Resources.
6. Upholds Pelco’s Commitment to Excellence standards at all times.
7. Performs related duties as assigned.
