Software Engineer 3/4/5
Qualifications:
Required:
1. Knowledge of high-level, object-oriented design methodologies.
2. Knowledge of and experience in designing software for reuse, maintainability, and robustness.
3. Knowledge of TCP/IP and related network protocols.
4. Knowledge of common software development environments.
5. Knowledge of and experience with the Linux Operating system.
6. Knowledge in ActionScript 3.0, Flash, and Flex.
7. Proficient in CSS and JavaScript.
8. Proficient in the C++ and C programming languages.
9. Proficient in common scripting/shell languages (e.g. perl, bash).
10. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
11. Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form.
Desirable:
1. Minimum, Bachelors degree in Computer Science; highly desired, Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2. Masters or PhD. in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience is highly desired.
3. Minimum two years experience in software development.
4. Knowledge of and experience with design and development of embedded firmware.
5. Knowledge of and experience with database design and architecture.
6. Knowledge of and experience with large-scale software development and design processes.
7. Experience in software development in a manufacturing and support environment.
8. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
Job Description:
1. Uses professional concepts in the development of software; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a wide range of issues.
2. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors; exercises good judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action; has internal and some external contacts.
3. Works closely with customers to meet their needs in the design of new products and modifying existing products.
4. Works closely with engineering management regarding the allocation of resources, project scheduling, product implementation and support.
5. Designs, implements and supports software components for new products.
6. Researches new technologies for the software and security industries.
7. Develops specifications in conjunction with marketing and other engineering personnel.
