Qualifications:
Required:
1. Knowledge of high-level programming language and assembly language.
2. Ability to communicate effectively, both in oral and written form.
3. Ability to establish / maintain effective working relationships w/ customer, vendors, & fellow
employees.
Desirable:
1. Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering;
2. Masters or PhD. in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience is highly desired.
3. Minimum eight years experience in software development.
4. Experience in a manufacturing and support environment.
5. Experience with real time, embedded systems and motion control systems.
Job Description:
1. Designs, develops and tests software; creates software documentation; creates software architectures.
2. Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve
complex issues in creative and effective ways. Some barriers to entry exist at this level (i.e.,
dept/peer review).
3. Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of
variable factors; exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for
obtaining results; internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives.
4. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments, and may provide guidance to other
personnel.
5. Adheres to health, fire and safety regulations; identifies potential safety hazards and reports such to the Vice President of Human Resources.
6. Upholds Pelco’s Commitment to Excellence standards at all times.
7. Performs related duties as assigned.
