Qualifications:
Required:
1. Knowledge of high-level programming language and assembly language.
2. Ability to communicate effectively, both in oral and written form.
3. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customer, vendors, & fellow employees.
4. Ability to work in a drug-free environment and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
5. Extensive development experience with Linux systems, kernel, drivers, file systems, services and applications.
6. Expertise in wireless network protocols and technologies, especially IEEE 802.11, and experience in the design and development of wireless IEEE 802.11 devices.
7. Development experience with C, C++, bash, Python, and Assembly programming languages.
Desirable:
1. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering; Masters or PhD. in Computer Science and or equivalent experience highly desired.
2. Minimum 12+ years related experience.
3. Experience in software development in a manufacturing and support environment.
4. Expertise in design and development of real time, embedded, and distributed systems.
5. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
Job Description:
1. Designs, develops and tests software; creates software documentation; creates software architecture; and creates software policies and procedures.
2. Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. Barriers to entry such as technical committee review exist at this level.
3. Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles; exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results; contacts pertain to significant matters often involving coordination among groups.
4. Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments; may supervise the activities of others.
